Lesson 9

Today I finished the fish installation, and I started to work with paper. I just found out, how it looks easy to make, but in real life its pretty hard :). Working with the glue and paper made a quite big mass and I was all in glue.
What is left, is to make the last type of installation out of wood. I haven't decided yet, if it will be just wood, or a combination of different materials, we will see.
Thats all for today, I am looking forward the next lesson.

Lesson 8

Today, we were divided into several groups, to make our own, Arts Management web page. I am now the leader of the audio and pictures group. :)
Our main task was to design a structure for the page, so that we can grab the best ideas in the end of the lesson. It worked very well. We decided to make pictures of the Baam 2 student for the next class, by the help of Mohammad (our photographer) to make and design pictures of ourselves as well. The video will be made on the sculpture lesson, and it will take place on the front page.
In the second part of the lesson, we were looking out for different definitions that should a student know if learning web-design, and than we had a short "examination" where we had to tell one randomly asked definition to our leader.
I think I have done well, and I was very lucky with the asked CPC, which is Short for cost-per-click, an Internet marketing formula used to price online advertisements. Advertisers will pay Internet publishers based on the number of clicks a specific ad gets.

I am looking forward the next lesson, where we will be already prepared with our videos and photoshopped pictures.

Lesson 8

Today we started to work with new materials, with wood, carton and wire. We had the right to choose from the above mentioned stuff, and I was really excited to try myself out in makeing animals out of wire.
There were three different types of it, the most thick one is for creating the forms. I found this one very hard to bend, but with the tools for swaying it was not a problem any more. The second type is less thick than the first one, it is used for amending the first one. The thinnest wire serves the purpose of binding. It was very easy to work with it.
By the end of our sculpture lesson, I was nearly ready with my fish installation, what was left, to decorate it with with the thinnest wire, or maybe with some other material.
Definitely in the firs half-en our of the next lesson I will be about finishing my "work", and hopefully than I can start working with the other materials.
