Lesson 3

In the third part of the lesson we started to use Dreamweaver. We opened the file lesson 2, and we found there the ready script. Than we were getting familiar with the basic buttons. There are 3 different views (Code-Split-Design).
The best way of working is in the Split mode, because with it you can see not only the design, but the codes as well.
In the down section, there are different kind of buttons, eg. <> , with which we can highlight the texts, pictures. You can look at your page in a zoom mode, and with double clicking, it is possible to come out.
The window size is very important, because visitors might have different monitors.
That was all for today, and now we can all have a 3 days rest :)

In the second part of the lesson, we started to design a script for our own web page, which will include our personal details, pictures. This is only a SCRIPT, made again in google Docs, the ready one will be made in Dreaweaver. The topics I choosed were, -about me -pictures -sculpture -webdesign.

In the beginnig of the lesson, we were about to find a nicely designed travel agency web-page. I decided to choose an African-American tour agency. I liked the web site a lot, WHY? - you can see my reasons on the picture. We used Google Docs again, and we wrote in 5 points the good things we had found.

Lesson 1

On the first lesson, we learnt about different materials that can be used for sculpting, and we ran trough the most important and famous sculptures of the Art world. In the second part, we came to know different tools that are used for clay carving, than started to use clay. We tried out, how it works. Actually, it was great fun. On the picture you can see the result of my work. :)

Firstly, we made different wholes, carvings (with keys, and everything we found around) etc. on the clay. When we felt that it is ready,  we created a ( "closed bath" ) (?) :) or what for it, so that the gypsum cant run out. After waiting for a half-en our, we took off the clay, and what was left, was the ready masterpiece. :)

Lesson 2

In the first part of the lesson we were working with Google Docs. Our task was to create an "official" website for a singer, and a poster for his current tour.

We could experiment with the arrengements and colors. We found out, that the most common problem we are faced with is that the title can't be seen with an unsuitable background. On the picture attached, you can see a screenshot of my work. This website is about Bob Marley. I tried to arrange the buttons in a clear way. Actually, I was concentrating, on creating the feeling of harmony so hardly, that a few things ran out of my mind. For instance the backgrounds are different, and it gives the feeling, that you are looking at two different websites.
After we were all ready with our masterpieces, on the big screen, we could share our ideas about perfect design options. :) I think, most of my classmates had done well, although some did not, but we were not shy to tell each other our opinions honestly. I am sure, next time everyone will improve and will be evident in their products.

In the second part of the lesson, we decided to explore a new programme, called Adobe Dreamweaver. By using this program, professional web-designs can be created. However, We do not have to be professionals, we are interested in the basic using options. Our lesson was very enjoyable, and also, its great, that we could use our imagination and creativity. Next time, we will countinue learning about this programme, and I hope, we will all have a chance to find a way of selfimpressing by using dreamweaver.

Part 2:

I found a great web page, where you can read about the distinctive features that make a modern web page look fresh, and easy to use. Nowadays, the most important feature of a web page is simplicity - says the author, and I think I can absolutely agree with him - web design is better today than ever. If you got interested :

Lesson 2

We had our second sculpture practicum lesson. It was really enjoyable.
Our homework was to design a mask, that we will give birth for. On the picture you can see the result. It is a kind of African ceremonial (piece), but its not finished yet. It is made out of clay, and it will get its finished form, when we will put gypsum on it. Clay is one of those things that is almost irresistible to adults and kids alike. Who can resist picking up a cool piece of clay and squooshing and squeezing it; letting it ooze between your fingers or rolling it around on the palm of your hand? Well, I couldn't, and it was great to try to work with this material.
After covering the clay, I think we will color it, and it will be ready for use :)

The first meeting with internet

Our task, is to write a short, interesting story about our first impression - meeting the internet.
I dont think my story can be interesting, firstly, because I dont remember how I felt, secondly, because I have an older brother who was that interested, that I didnt even have a chance to sit in front of the computer.
Of corse, now I am using it a lot, mainly for emailing, and surcheing for information. It is a wonderful invention, and it is great tobe part of this revolution.

After telling out stories, we learnt about the internet, how it works and what is it used for. Actually, on the picture, you can see how the internet looks like. There are plenty of definitions for it. We all agreed that it is a global computer network of interconnected computers, and it helps people to share information among multiple channels. Nowadays, nearly everyone is using it. My younger brother also do, even if he is nine years old, he already has his email address and iwiw account. If I think back, when I was nine, I was not really interested in computers, I founded barbies a lot more interesting.
But the world changes, there are new contrivances, and the internet, I think, is one of the biggest and powerful, useful and influential inventions from the late 20th century.
